The Winery

Adega Rolan is a company located in the Vinho Verde Region specializing in the production of Alvarinho wines.

Located in Quinta da Pertigueira, it has an approximate area of 640 m2. In each vintage we can process up to 190 tons of grapes, which translates into a production capacity of 110,000 liters of wine, where the regional varieties of Alvarinho (90%), Loureiro and Trajadura (9%) and Cainho (1%) predominate . The storage capacity is around 223,000 liters.

Adega Rolan is equipped with the necessary technology to be able to produce wines, such as a pneumatic press with included maceration function, vacuum filter, cross-flow filter, cooling equipment, bottling line, etc. It also has its own laboratory where the essential parameters of wines and musts are measured. Constant care and dedication lead Adega Rolan to maintain high levels of quality and hygiene and safety conditions are frequently analyzed to ensure that the wines are in optimal condition.

Sustainability

Concerned with the environmental impact, Adega Rolan tries to make wines produced with a minimum of chemical products.

All the water used in the work comes from natural mines, water resources that are abundant in their fields.

Adega Rolan tries to minimize the intervention of mechanical actions and use of phytopharmaceuticals in the production of grapes, trying to reverse the effects of human action and minimize the use of unnecessary resources in agricultural production.

The water used in the field comes from natural mines located in our vineyards. A tank was built on the Quinta to collect water from rains and mines and the surplus follows its natural course.The collected water is used to carry out specific irrigation tasks in the younger vines.
We preserve biodiversity and seek to recover indigenous varieties such as Cainho Branco. Walking through our vineyards is a unique experience for the senses, as we can observe different species of birds, butterflies and unique flora.
